Urban bikes with premium equipment
Developing a high-quality and chic urban bike for women and men always has its own particular challenges. The Premium version then looks like this: hydroformed aluminium frames that can withstand loads up to a total permissible weight of 170 kg, plus the chunky and comfortable Super Moto tyres by SCHWALBE. A clear silhouette is also provided by the distinctive design of the luggage rack, which slots well into the overall picture, has an integrated taillight and its maximum payload of 25 kg lets you treat it like a packhorse.
The VICTORIA Urban remains stable even when heavily laden, which is not a matter of course for low stepthrough bikes. The hub gear sets, which are only available with Gates belts, promise to be particularly low maintenance. If you’re looking for an extremely reliable companion for 365 days a year with first-class ride comfort, then VICTORIA Urban bikes are for you.
Urban bikes with hub gears
It was clear to us that we could run riot in terms of components, but it would not make any sense to advance into regions where the pedelec middle class cavorts. So no ROHLOFF gear hub, but the Nexus gear hub by SHIMANO also suitable for home use, one with seven and one with eight gears, and free-wheel hub or coaster brake.
And meaningful shaping measures for the frame material too: aluminium instead of carbon as this is better suited to everyday use and can also be worked into an eye-catching shape thanks to modern hydroforming techniques. The chunky and comfortable Super Moto tyres by SCHWALBE have proven to be successful on the urban VICTORIA pedelec range. So we have used these here too. A clear visual line is provided by the specially produced RACKTIME carrier with integrated rear light that just blends into the whole picture perfectly. It also can carry a remarkable maximum load of 25 kg making it quite a packhorse. The VICTORIA Urban retains it stability even with heavy loads which is no mean feat for a bike with a low step-through.
Furthermore, the XXL concept has been adopted from the urban eBike division. In plain text, this means that the non-electric urban range is also designed for a maximum permissible total vehicle weight of 170 kg. This figure naturally includes the rider and luggage.
Belt drive and urban bike – the perfect combination
Especially unisex urban bikes with low step-through and belt drive are in high demand. This has led to the new urban models being equipped with a GATES belt suitable for everyday use. This means the bikes are particularly low maintenance. In addition, there is a hydraulic brake system with large discs along with top-of-the-range components by ERGOTEC with the Ergotec XXL line and Busch & Müller.
The new VICTORIA Urban bikes are as smooth as silk to ride and a reliable companion for 365 days each year.
