Sporty and agile or XXL: the two faces of eManufaktur Premium eBikes
Recipient of the Red Dot Award for product design, our eManufaktur Premium E-Bike series made a name for itself right from the start in 2014 and underpinned its flagship character.
Today, seven years after this initial success, we are offering a completely revamped edition of the eManufaktur series, which in turn embodies the highest demands on outstanding product design.
The time scale illustrates how far the development from bicycles to vehicles has progressed. The first integrative design approaches at the time were massively refined and resulted in a consummate form that was unimaginable just a few years ago. State-of-the-art, forming manufacturing processes allow the eManufaktur series to have a positive effect, as the frames accommodate and integrate the motor and battery without any surface breaks or discrepancies in design.
But it is not only in terms of style that the revamped Premium eBikes play in a league of their own – this is the case technically too. State-of-the-art BOSCH Performance CX and Performance drives as well as fully integrated BOSCH PowerTube batteries ensure the package is complete. Depending on the model, the batteries are available with the capacities PowerTube 625 or PowerTube 500. Since the lengths of the two energy sources differ by about 7 cm, we have provided the more compact PowerTube 500 batteries with an adapter that makes them measure the length of the PowerTube 625 battery. So, you have the possibility to get a second battery afterwards to swap in or to exchange and are thus free to choose capacity, BOSCH offers three PowerTube versions (625, 500, 400) here.

You might think that it is best to rest on your laurels. However, this is not the case: we have revised and supplemented the 2020 eManufaktur series. And this is for a good reason. The four models offer a maximum permissible total weight of 170 kg. After all, this is 30 kg more than we allow the new edition, which has a permissible total weight of 140 kg. And this predestines them for some sociable heavyweights or for all those who like to load their eBike with a cargo or children’s trailer, to continue to rely on the tried-and-test models, which are available for 2020 with fresh colours and highlights.
By the way: the reason for the great popularity and the fantastic results in the media so far is in the detail: the mature eManufaktur models are manufactured by hand in the company bicycle production site in Lower Saxony. This is also where the paint is applied with an extremely impact-resistant powder coating, which makes the Premium eBike look like new even after many years. Only durable premium components are used, such as BOSCH mid-drive motors or gear hubs specially developed for pedelecs.
