Those who choose to buy a model from the eUrban series, will demand a lot from their future two-wheeled companion. And justifiably so. These have been designed to cope with modern everyday mobility, not just for use in the city. Being a practical as well as stylish pedelec coupled with a harmonious low-maintenance drive, it has everything that is now sought after. Easy step-through, equipment suitable for everyday use and high level of ride comfort come up trumps here.
So that future owners have as little to worry about as possible with maintenance, low-maintenance gear hubs with belt drive are installed as standard. All components such as frame, fork, cockpit (handlebar and stem), brakes, tyres etc. have also been designed for XXL everyday use. The maximum permissible weight can be up to 170 kg, consisting of the pedelec, its rider and any additional equipment. Since the bike, depending on the frame type and size weighs around 27 kilograms, the rider and luggage can account for 140 additional kilos.
But the weight of such comfort pedelecs is ultimately secondary, after all it is the high-torque motor and the high-capacity battery that ensure the highest level of assistance. Do not be influenced too much by the ranges specified. Especially with city pedelecs, it will be rare that you will cover more than 30 kilometres. But this does not pose a problem with minimum self-contribution in the form of pedalling (which you have to do with a pedelec anyway) thanks to the 500 watt-hour battery
The series is worth considering for eBike novices too thanks to its good-natured character, as they will feel right at home in the saddle of an eUrban. This should not come as a surprise, since the particularly wide balloon tyres with built-in air suspension provide an extra-large area of contact with the ground and thus a lot of traction – almost inevitably resulting in a particularly safe riding style. The comfortably designed frame geometry and the handlebar tilted slightly towards the rider add to this bike’s comfort.
